All charges dismissed for G&A client charged with felony
The client, a successful Venezuelan businessman, was arrested for possessing thousands of dollars of counterfeit US currency while on vacation in New York with his family. The attorneys at the Law Office of Matthew Galluzzo convinced the prosecutors that the client did not know that his money was counterfeit by providing them with a detailed written explanation of how Venezuelan currency controls instituted by Hugo Chavez have resulted in a black market for American currency that sometimes victimizes innocent Venezuelans seeking to buy American dollars for travelling abroad. The prosecutors ultimately dismissed all charges against the client and he was able to return home without any criminal record.
