All charges dismissed for G&J client charged with felony

The client, a successful Venezuelan businessman, was arrested for possessing thousands of dollars of counterfeit US currency while on vacation in New York with his family. The attorneys at Galluzzo & Johnson LLP convinced the prosecutors that the client did not know that his money was counterfeit by providing them with a detailed written explanation of how Venezuelan currency controls instituted by Hugo Chavez have resulted in a black market for American currency that sometimes victimizes innocent Venezuelans seeking to buy American dollars for travelling abroad. The prosecutors ultimately dismissed all charges against the client and he was able to return home without any criminal record.

Rape case dismissed for G&J client in Manhattan

The client, a French university student studying in Manhattan, was arrested after being falsely accused of raping a woman in Manhattan. He subsequently retained Galluzzo & Johnson LLP to defend him. They conducted their own independent investigation of the incident and were able to discover evidence that strongly suggested that the complaining witness had given wildly inconsistent versions of her story to police officers. Today, after a lengthy battle, the prosecutor dismissed the case because she was convinced that she could not prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The client will now be able to go on with his life without any criminal record.

The client, a teenager, had been indicted in Manhattan for Class B and Class C violent felonies. As a result, he was facing a possible maximum sentence of 25 years in jail. His attorneys at Galluzzo & Johnson wrote a strong motion to dismiss on his behalf, and rather than even attempt to respond to it, the prosecutors conceded defeat. As a result, on 4/18, the Supreme Court judge dismissed all charges against the client, and he still has no criminal record.
