Eric Michael Arnone

Of Counsel

Eric Michael Arnone is an accomplished and skilled trial litigator who fights his hardest to achieve the best possible outcome for every single client. He brings a decade of criminal law experience to the table after a successful career in one of the country’s most prestigious prosecutor’s offices.  It is this wealth of experience and knowledge of how the system works that makes him an effective advocate for those faced with the threat of criminal prosecution, whether the charges include low level “violations” or the most serious felonies where the stakes are the highest.

Mr. Arnone served as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office for ten years, first under the Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau and then under the Hon. Cyrus R. Vance, Jr.  Beginning in 2001, Mr. Arnone was assigned to the trial division where he handled over eleven-hundred criminal cases involving charges for  misdemeanors (petit larceny, marijuana and drug possession, DWI offenses, forgery) as well as serious felonies (drug sale, felony drug possession, firearms possession, attempted murder and murder).  Mr. Arnone was also a member of the office’s domestic violence unit and frequently worked cases with the NYPD’s Major Case Squad investigating bank robberies and kidnappings. He also regularly supervised the office’s early case assessment bureau -- making crucial charging decisions at the early stages of criminal prosecutions -- and participated in legal training and trial advocacy programs geared to help the office’s younger prosecutors hone their courtroom skills.

In 2008, Mr. Arnone was recruited to join the office’s elite “Homicide Investigations Unit,” (later renamed the “Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit”) where he conducted long-term investigations into firearms trafficking, homicides committed by large scale criminal organizations and violent drug gangs, and cases involving “murders for hire.” He also tried conspiracy and murder cases involving the use of cooperating witnesses.  It is here that he gathered the experience to deal with more complicated prosecutions in multiple defendant cases that spanned long periods of time.  Simply put, Mr. Arnone is a tried-and-true criminal litigator who has the knowledge and experience to achieve the best results for his clients.

Mr. Arnone received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from New York University where he graduated magna cum laude as a “University Honor’s Scholar” and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He also received the University’s prestigious “Founder’s Day Award” for attaining the highest bracket of scholastic achievement in his class.
